Carrick Aland Accountants in Dalby were thrilled to help our school-based member of the team, Lachlan ‘Lachie’ Monaghan, to celebrate when he was recognised for academic and sporting achievement at the OLSCC Awards 2016!
Lachie was awarded prizes for Maths A, Accounting and Religion, as well as a Bronze Sports Award. He topped it off with a USQ Principal’s Recommendation Program Award.
OLSCC’s awards acknowledge significant academic improvement by students over the course of the year, with recipients recommended by individual subject teachers.
“To say we’re chuffed is an understatement,” says Business Manager Noel Brownsey. “Lachie came to Carrick Aland for school-based work experience in 2014. Having impressed us, we then offered him after school work one afternoon a week and during school holidays.”
“Lachie has been nothing but mature and respectful whilst carrying out all the filing and data entry we put his way. But his initiation into entry-level tax returns and financial reporting showed promising results, so we look forward to Lachie taking up a full-time role with us as an accounting cadet.”
Congratulations, Lachie, from all your colleagues at Carrick Aland – have a wonderful time at schoolies! We look forward to seeing you back in the office in 2017!
